In view of the derique difficulty or、uted by the non- adoption up to the resent of the Getum by suvel impor- tant countries, the coembly might request the Council to instruct the Advisory Committed to proceed with the consideration of the sug-rection gontuined in the second resolution adopted by the secmbly in 1922 and to re ort to the next sembly on the whole situation, and us to the measures mich should be taken to control the import from and exmort to the countrius which do not accept the syutum, of the drugs to which thu Jonvention apoli.

A resolution ought to be passed in order to welcome the co-operation of the Government of the United „tutes of Imerica in dealing with the question of the abuse of dangerous drugu. The Issembly might slso ex:rubs rvument with the propositions made by the lugation of the United

the general principles on which the International Convention of 1912 is baluf, na by .hich the Jovernments should be

guided.

5. The members of the ifth Com: ittee will have not cô with satisfaction that, in accordance with the hope expressed in the fourth resolution adopted by the Assembly in 1922,

the Advisory Committee has reported that the information now available mkes it possible for the Governments cone ur neð to examine the question of the limitation of the produation of the drugs with a view to the conclusion of an agreement on the subject. A rusolution ought to be psd inviting the Council to take action to curry the proposals of the Advisory Committee into effect.
